GALLERY WRAPS EDGE STYLES

Gallery wraps feature an image derived from the painting or photograph applied to the sides of the print, or the sides can be a solid color. We offer the following four techniques. The Natural Edge style is more typically used with photographs. The other three styles can be used on art prints or photos. Edge treatments can be applied to any depth stretcher bar.

Images that can be cropped with enough image to wrap around the edge will work with this style.

This is a special technique where software analyzes the face of the image from the edge in and then creates an extension to mimic the actual image. This technique will work on many images but not all.

Software copies the image face to the same depth of the edge and applies that image to the edge. It's an exact mirror of the face.

This is simply adding a solid color to create the edge. Usually it's a dark color taken from the image, black or any color desired. The edges can also be left white canvas. This style can be applied to any image.

CANVAS MOUNTING

We mount canvas on standard 3/4” deep stretcher bars that typically will then be framed. This mounting is stapled along the sides of the bars. Alternatively, we can make a 3/4” deep gallery wrap if so desired. We also mount on 1.5" deep gallery wrap frames. This style is made Ready-to-Hang (back closed and wired) unless requested otherwise. Center and corner braces are added as needed when dimensions go over 24" in order to prevent frame distortion over time.

We also do canvas mounting of customer provided canvas paintings, photographs or raw canvas.
